Our central location means you can also take day trips into The Lake District, the Scottish Borders, The North Pennines, or Northumberland National Park. For a shopping day, you can drive to the City of Carlisle, Newcastle-upon-Tyne or the market town of Hexham, and sample the attractions available further afield.
